Nathan serves as the Director of the NC State Havelock Engineering Program, a site-based NC State University College of Engineering program located on the Havelock campus of Craven Community College. An alumnus of the Havelock Engineering Program, Nathan earned both his Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Master of Engineering degrees from NC State University.

Nathan’s educational foundation is supported by direct industry experience in aviation engineering as well as classroom instruction. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Fleet Readiness Center East, contributing to critical defense aviation support. In 2023, he transitioned back to the Havelock Engineering Program to serve as the Assistant Director before assuming his current leadership role as Director.

Driven by a passion for hands-on, interactive learning, Nathan integrates practical industry experience into teaching engineering design concepts from a systems perspective. He is dedicated to mentoring students, inspiring future engineers, and building strong collaborative partnerships between Havelock Engineering Program students, alumni, and local industry partners across eastern North Carolina.
